In September 2006, Tahanny Chehab opened T&M boutique in the East Village of New York City. Amidst a sea of bars restaurant trendy restaurants in the up and coming block on B between 3rd and 4th, T&M has quickly risen to fame as the premiere boutique in the area garnering a following of celebrities, socialites, and professionals from various fields.
Prior to opening the boutique, Tahanny was a freelance designer for several prominent internationally known companies. Her work has been seen both in domestic and international television and publications. After opening the store, Tahanny joined with a partner and began an in-house line which was most recently featured in InStyle Magazine. Tahanny's vision, which became T&M, was one-stop shopping for the well-dressed yet trendy professional woman, featuring a balance of clothing from lines by up-and-coming designers ranging to clothing lines from hard-to-find designers, with a few well-known lines that are found also in New York's finest department stores. Tahanny's high-fashion experience, together with her education from the premiere fashion school in the country, and one of the best in the world, Fashion Institute of Technology, enables her to offer stylist services which rival those catered to any Hollywood actress. Her services are conducive to providing personal attention to a customer who either doesn't have the time or simply doesn't care to shop on her own. Unlike most designers and stylists of her caliber, however, Tahanny offers personal shopping services free of charge. Her goal, both as boutique owner and as a stylist, is to assist clients in building a wardrobe of "investment" pieces - top-quality clothing items that lasts and exude a timeless style and sophistication. To inquire about these services, simply call or e-mail T&M. Personal appointments are available and, where appropriate for special events and/or celebrity fittings, the entire boutique may be reserved.
T&M is constantly changing and evolving. T&M carries the most useful current pieces available in all of New York City - by lesser-known designers and newly emerging from all over the world.
